Aquaflora Mg
Easily assimilable magnesium
for proper plant growth
Aquarium fertilizer containing magnesium easily-assimilated by plants. Magnesium is one of the macroelements vital for proper plant life. This element is a component of many enzymes and it is vital for the synthesis of chlorophyll, i.e. green pigment essential in photosynthesis. Magnesium is involved in many processes including the activation of enzymes, synthesis of DNA and RNA, phosphorus transport and energy production. Too low magnesium content results in impaired iron absorption, discoloration and deformation of leaves.
The quantity and frequency of Aquaflora Mg supplementation depends on the calcium and magnesium content in aquarium water. The appropriate ratio of the concentration between calcium and magnesium is from 1:3 to 1:10. However, the content of magnesium in typical freshwater aquariums should be kept at the level of 5 to 15 mg/l. Too high content of calcium effectively prevents magnesium from being absorbed. In such a situation, plants may suffer from magnesium deficiency despite a high content of this element in water. 1 ml of fertilizer contains 50 mg of magnesium.
The change of magnesium content in aquarium water by adding 1 ml of fertilizer depending on the volume of an aquarium.
Aquarium volume | Increase in magnesium concentration |
---|---|
10 l | 5 mg/ l |
60 l | 0,83 mg/ l |
100 l | 0,5 mg/ l |
Volume | Water volume | Product code |
---|---|---|
100 ml | 1 000 l | 7163 |
250 ml | 2 500 l | 7168 |
