Aquaflora N
Source of nitrogen
for plant life and development
Aquarium plant fertilizer for planted tanks without fish and fish tanks with small stocking density. Aquaflora N enriches aquarium water with nitrogen which is a macroelement of vital importance for life and development of plants. Nitrogen is an essential component of organic matter present in plants including proteins, nucleic acids, phospholipids and chlorophyll. Purely planted aquariums or fish tanks with very low stocking density often show the need to supplement water with nitrogen. Deficiencies in this element result in growth inhibition and over a longer period of time plant dieback may also take place. Aquaflora N contains nitrogen in the form of nitrates that are easily assimilated by plants and safe for fish. The preparation constitutes also the source of potassium.
First, 1-2 ml of fertilizer should be used to 10 l of water, which causes the concentration of 5-10 mg NO3/litr. After a week, it is required to check the level of nitrates using the Aquatest NO3 and replenish it to obtain its desired concentration, i.e. usually sufficient level is in the range of 5-10 mg/l. 1 ml of fertilizer contains 50 mg of nitrates and 31,5 mg of potassium.
The change of nitrate and potassium content in aquarium water by adding 1 ml of fertilizer depending on the volume of an aquarium.
Aquarium volume | Increase in nitrate concentration | Increase in potassium content |
---|---|---|
10 l | 5 mg/ l | 3 mg/l |
60 l | 0,85 mg/ l | 0,5 mg/l |
100 l | 0,5 mg/ l | 0,3 mg/l |
Volume | Water volume | Product code |
