Lowering general hardness

Flow bags containing a cation exchanger in sodium form. Designed to reduce general water hardness. During water softening, carbonate hardness remains the same, however, calcium bicarbonate and magnesium bicarbonate are converted into sodium bicarbonates. A slight increase of pH occurs. The bags can be regenerated in a solution of table salt and reused.

Improper hardness may contribute to impaired fish immunity, breeding problems, and in extreme cases, poses a direct threat to fish life. Filtrax allows for lowering general and carbonate hardness to the desired level without having to put fish into the other tank.

One flow bag of Filtrax GH removes 1000 l x ยฐn. Flow bags should be placed behind the inserts mechanically cleaning the water and with activated coal. Not intended for use when completing water with microelements or during applying copper supplements. Filtrax GH can be regenerated in a solution of table salt according to the guidelines given in the directions for use.
