Aquarium salt is an effective aid for fish suffering from a variety of ailments. It accelerates mucus secretion, effectively contributing to the removal of parasites and alleviating any skin infections that may occur. It is suitable as a conditioning agent and a complementary agent to other aquarium products. It effectively prevents the effects of harmful nitrites (NO2–) by blocking their absorption in the gills. Zoolek aquarium salt is non-iodized, does not contain anti-caking agents, and importantly, its composition is laboratory-tested. It is a source of life-giving trace elements, including magnesium, manganese, iron, zinc, copper, calcium, selenium, and potassium..

It is specifically suited for preparing the water intended for fish tanks with plants and fauna from biotopes of increased salinity, like mangrove forest and estuary biotope. Useful for breeding salt-tolerant fish such as archerfish (Toxotes), mudskipper (Periophthalmus), four-eyed fish (Anableps), silver moonyfish (Monodactylus), spotted scat (Scatophagus), goby (Gobiidae), shark catfish (Arus).

Short-term bath:
for fish inhabiting hard waters – 10-20 g/l for 10 to 30 minutes, for fish inhabiting soft waters – 5-10 g/l for 10-20 minutes. The bath should be carried out in a separate tank.
Long-term bath:
for fish inhabiting hard waters – 3-5 g/l for 3 to 5 days, for fish inhabiting soft waters – 1-3 g/l for 3 to 5 days. Exchange 30-50 % of water after treatment. In the case of fragile fish, it is recommended to apply lower concentrations. If higher concentrations are applied it is advisable to divide the salt dose into portions (e.g. into 3) added every 12 hours.
Preventive bath:
Use 3 g/l for one hour. Special care should be paid in aquariums with fragile plants.
