Successful aquarium maintenance depends largely on water conditioning. For tap water treatment Antychlor, the conditioner is used as it ensures the removal of chloride compounds and binding of heavy metals. In the case of demineralized water, e.g. from reverse osmosis, it is required to supplement aquarium with natural mineral salts.

Aquaflora complete and Aquaflora complete drops are fertilizers containing balanced set of micro- and macroelements. They are specifically suited for setting-up new aquariums, and also, for fertilizing planted tanks or fish tanks with small stocking density. It is recommended to use Aquaflora complete once a week and Aquaflora complete drops daily.
during water replacements
Water replacement should be carried out at least once a week – it is especially important when fertilizing established aquariums. Demineralised water is devoid of microelements. Since tap water does not contain enough quantity of bioelements it is recommended to apply Aquaflora micro proportionally to the volume of the replaced water. A too low iron content in water, measured by means of Aquatest Fe , can be corrected with the aid of iron fertilizer –Aquaflora Fe.

In a well-established aquarium with fish and plants it is not usually required to supplement water with nitrogen and phosphorus compounds for they are released in aquarium from organic waste matter. In this case, it is recommended to use fertilizers containing potassium and microelements (use Aquaflora basic once a week and Aquaflora basic drops on an everyday basis).

Growing plants require considerable quantities of carbon. Aquaflora carbo contains an organic carbon compound which covers plants’ demand for this element. In aquariums with fast-growing plants, Aquaflora carbo fertilizer can be used every day.

Using separate micro- and macroelement fertilizers allows for supplementing aquarium water with proper quantities of exactly those bioelements that were used by plants without the need to add other elements present in water in sufficient contents.
